About me
Dr Nicola Cann, Sleep Psychologist, DEChPsy, BSc Hons
I have seen first hand how improving sleep can lead to many positive outcomes for individuals, and my years of experience as a psychologist have taught me that most sleep problems are treatable without the need for medication.
My unique combination of expertise in psychology and sleep means I can support you to make positive and lasting changes. You can see more about my credentials below.
I created TFSC because I am passionate about improving people’s sleep and raising awareness of the importance of sleep health and wellbeing.
As a psychologist specialising in sleep I can get your sleep back on track without the need for medication.
I help people of all ages with sleep, from babies to older adults. I also have many years of experience working with children with neurodevelopmental conditions like autism and ADHD, who often have real difficulty with sleep.
We will work together to investigate what is maintaining your sleep problem, and find solutions that work for you. I use a range of techniques known for improving sleep, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia, Coaching, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Addressing sleep problems doesn’t need to be hard. With the right guidance and support, you can gain new skills and knowledge to help your child and family sleep better. I will take time to listen, understand your needs, and work with you to provide direction and strategies that meet the needs of your family. We will work together as a team to create solutions that best suit you.
